Christine Hall
Who am I? I’m a rural gal, wife, mother, scholar, teacher, and a Quaker with a contemplative spirit. I’m Alaska-born, a world traveler, avid reader, retreat director, program organizer, and spiritual director / companion, and lover of God.
I first found the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in New England, bringing Roman Catholic roots and an eccumnical spirit. I experience the Divine in wilderness, in quiet, in creativity, through the Bible, and with others in soulful conversations, prayer, song, and collaborative discernment.
Since 2012, I’ve directed Way of the Spirit—with residential retreats and online sessions to foster awareness of the inner presence and guidance of the Divine. For eight years, I was also adjunct faculty in Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry. In 2021-2022, I served as guest faculty and spiritual director for Holden Village, a retreat center in the North Cascades Mountains. Since fall of 2024, I’ve been the Executive Director of GOOD NEWS Associates. You can read my reflections in an occasional blog, and a Pendle Hill Pamphlet titled, “Forgiveness: Freed to Love” (2023). My teaching flows from the wisdom of the Quaker-Christian tradition.
The most satisfying parts of my efforts in ministry are in supporting others in faithfulness to the Inward Teacher—to partner with God for personal transformation and building up Goodness in our communities.
